Can Invisalign Fix my Crossbite?

Yes, in many cases it can!  Invisalign can be a very effective treatment in fixing a crossbite.

A crossbite is when the upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth when the mouth is closed. The aligners are used to expand the upper teeth out towards the lips/cheeks to help "jump" the crossbite.

There are cases where the crossbite is due to considerable skeletal issues. In these cases, the upper arch is too narrow and a palatal expander device is used to widen the palate. In some cases, after the expansion is complete, Invisalign can be used to straighten the teeth instead of traditional braces.

As always, It is best to speak with your dentist about which treatment option is best for you.
